Dog-Friendly Fall Activities

With the leaves changing and the crisp cool weather, fall is in the air everywhere. You may have noticed a little extra pep in your pup’s step. I know my dog’s are loving the shift to cooler weather. Here’s a few ideas to enjoy the season with your furry friend.

  • Take a long walk through the woods. Go enjoy the gorgeous leaf changes and take a mindful walk in nature with your pet.

  • Curl up on the couch and read a book. With the days getting shorter, it’s the perfect excuse to spend more time indoors with your pet. They won’t mind if you’re reading or watching a movie, as long as they are with their favorite person in the world.

  • Visit a local pumpkin patch or plan a day at a autumn themed festival. Just make sure to check their pet policy first. Most are usually pet friendly since they are outdoors, but it’s best to check with them first.

  • Have your photo taken! Fall provides the most beautiful backdrop for family photos, and makes a great greeting card for the upcoming holidays. An added bonus… the weather is still usually warm enough to enjoy the experience.

  • Get in those last few social outings before winter. Many restaurants still offer outdoor seating this time of year. So plan a lunch date with a friend, or visit your local dog park before the frost!
