Dog-Friendly Fall Activities
With the leaves changing and the crisp cool weather, fall is in the air everywhere. You may have noticed a little extra pep in your pup’s step. I know my dog’s are loving the shift to cooler weather. Here’s a few ideas to enjoy the season with your furry friend.
Take a long walk through the woods. Go enjoy the gorgeous leaf changes and take a mindful walk in nature with your pet.
Curl up on the couch and read a book. With the days getting shorter, it’s the perfect excuse to spend more time indoors with your pet. They won’t mind if you’re reading or watching a movie, as long as they are with their favorite person in the world.
Visit a local pumpkin patch or plan a day at a autumn themed festival. Just make sure to check their pet policy first. Most are usually pet friendly since they are outdoors, but it’s best to check with them first.
Have your photo taken! Fall provides the most beautiful backdrop for family photos, and makes a great greeting card for the upcoming holidays. An added bonus… the weather is still usually warm enough to enjoy the experience.
Get in those last few social outings before winter. Many restaurants still offer outdoor seating this time of year. So plan a lunch date with a friend, or visit your local dog park before the frost!
